From April 26 to May 1, 2025, a transformative Erasmus+ training course titled “AI in Youth Work: Empowering Young Minds” took place in Brežice, Slovenia. The project brought together youth workers and participants from across Europe to explore the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and youth development.
The training offered a balanced blend of theoretical sessions, interactive workshops, and collaborative group work, with the goal of equipping participants with practical tools and ethical understanding for using AI in the context of youth work.
Highlights of the Program Included:
- Introduction to AI concepts and tools
- Practical applications of ChatGPT, Canva AI, and Voice/Video AI
- Group work during AI Camp, where participants created real use cases
- Workshops on ethics, gamification, and visual storytelling
- Final presentations, reflecting each team’s innovation and collaboration
The learning journey was complemented by team-building activities, intercultural evenings, and deep reflection sessions, creating a space of collaborative learning and European solidarity.
A special moment was the Youthpass ceremony, where all participants received official recognition for their learning experience and achievements.
This training not only boosted participants’ confidence in using AI tools, but also planted seeds for future youth-led innovation. With new friendships formed and skills gained, the experience in Brežice will continue to inspire action in local communities.
