A week of innovation, collaboration, and discovery in the world of STEM!
From 28th of February to the 7th of March, young participants from across Europe gathered for the Erasmus+ training course “STEM UP – Unlocking skills for tomorrow”, an exciting project dedicated to integrating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) into youth work. Hosted in Side, Turkiye, the experience brought together passionate individuals eager to explore the potential of STEM education in engaging and empowering young people.
The program was filled with hands-on workshops, interactive discussions, and practical activities designed to enhance our skills as youth workers and educators. We explored creative ways to make STEM more accessible and engaging for young people, focusing on innovation, sustainability, and critical thinking.
One of the highlights was our collaborative project work, where we developed and tested STEM-based educational activities that could be applied in real-life youth work settings. We had the chance to step into the role of trainers, designing and facilitating sessions that combined technology, problem-solving, and teamwork. Beyond the workshops, the intercultural environment added an extra layer to the experience. Coming from diverse backgrounds, we exchanged perspectives, shared challenges faced in our respective countries, and brainstormed solutions to make STEM education more inclusive and inspiring.
The training course wasn’t just about learning—it was also about connecting, exchanging ideas, and growing together. From thought-provoking discussions to fun cultural exchange, every moment strengthened our sense of collaboration and opened our minds to new possibilities.
As we leave this experience behind, we carry with us new knowledge, fresh ideas, and strong connections that will help us implement what we’ve learned in our local communities. STEM UP! wasn’t just a training course—it was a journey of discovery and inspiration!
