While entrepreneurship is a hot topic, especially in the digital sphere, the idea behind the Youth exchange “Dream Big 2.0” felt like a breath of fresh air. Namely from the 11th to 18th of November 2023, our Macedonian team had the adventure of a lifetime exploring the beautiful Ceuta in Spain, while working on our self development and expediting our journey to self employment.
Starting with our place of residence, Ceuta is a beautiful small town set on the strait of Gibraltar in North Africa that welcomed us with open arms. The theme of the project was exploring the mindset and skills of modern entrepreneurs, while relating it all to the discipline and determination required to excel in different sports. Needless to say, we were all people from different backgrounds, with varying experience in the subject, and we all brought a unique perspective to each activity, learning as much from the facilitators as we learned from ourselves.
Our days were filled with both fun and educational affairs such as playing sports, enacting theatrical performances and skits, debates, discussions etc. Thanks to the lovely weather, we were able to enjoy workshops on the beach, as well as take hikes around the town and even swim in the sea in November! Our nights were just as entertaining, as we indulged in the food, drinks and traditional dances of other countries and got to represent the uniqueness of Macedonian culture.
Overall, the participation on this project allowed us to expand our horizons and interact with people from 6 countries, exploring both our differences and similarities. We redefined the meaning of being an entrepreneur in the modern world and gained valuable knowledge on how to take the next career steps in our respective fields. Most important of all, we formed connections and memories that will last us a lifetime!
