The Erasmus Youth Exchange Y11 was an experience that allowed the participants to acquire knowledge related to youth goals and competencies, the role of the Erasmus community and the European community in the context of young people. During 10 days, young people from Macedonia participated in creating exercises and workshops, created experiences and intentions related to targeting youth goals in Europe, worked to strengthen youth participation. For them, it was an important experience that is a good direction for further guidance in the aspects of youth participation, which in their country gives them directions for further action.
The content of the program related to the EU youth goals gave us the opportunity to see the process of conducting the EU youth dialogue and how the union intends to prioritize youth challenges and issues. The EU Youth Dialogue works on the implementation of the Youth Goals. At European, national and regional level, the EU Youth Dialogue works with the Youth Goals to shape policy in the interests of young people. By allowing participants to create the workshops related to the youth goals it gave them an opportunity to go deeper into the research of the goals and how to communicate them to their peers. The facilitators also gave great support to providing a functional framework through which to discuss the youth goals. The Republic of North Macedonia, as a non-EU state will have to put more effort into conducting a proper youth dialogue so that youth can articulate youth challenges.
