Where do we even begin, it all started when we all gathered at the airport in Skopje, we didn’t know each other at the beginning, we were 8 people from different cities and different neighborhoods, some of us were from Skopje, Veles, Kochani and Tetovo. We didn’t know each other in real life, and we didn’t even had time to meet properly at the airport. There were some difficulties with our names, but as soon as we boarded the plane and arrived in Berlin 5th of November, we started talking more to each other and we got to know better ourselves, we talked about life, hobbies, studies almost everything.
And so, our journey begins! First, we were in Berlin where we did a lot of sightseeing, took pictures and had fun, but we run out of time and needed to travel to Poland. We reached Wroclaw, where we stayed for a whole day, as soon as we arrived, we took a shower changed our clothes and went out to see Wroclaw at night which is a very beautiful city. The next day we also had some time to see Wroclaw at daylight, so we used that too and we had fun in the city for a whole day. After that, we went to the bus stop where a bus waited for us and also there were the participants from Greece and Poland. We got into the bus, and we travelled to Karpacz, the place where the project was going to be implemented.
In Karpacz there were a lot of different people from 4 countries including Macedonia. We didn’t know each-other but that didn’t last very long, and soon the project started. The first day was very fun because we had a lot of energizers where we needed to meet and spend time with different people. One of the energizers was remembering everyone’s name, and only Viktor from our group succeeded in that.
Time went very fast because we were very busy during the day, there were a lot of indoor activities. Also, the weather in Poland was mostly very cold, but we had luck some days and got sunshine and with that-outdoor activities, such as going to Sniezka mountain peak and Wang Church.
What is more, we got to learn more about other people’s cultures, beliefs and ways of life. We had the opportunity to learn Polish, Latvian and Greek dances, learn to make Tzatziki, do a lot of quizzes, taste delicious food.
We bonded like a real family, and the days were passing by, and we didn’t even notice that. The last night of the project was the hardest, we said goodbye to everyone, some of us cried, but most importantly we made a promise to each other to meet again in the future and never forget this experience.
