From the lovely Malaga, the EXODUS partnership meets again in Portugal. Warm hugs and even warmer “Bem-vindo” (welcome) from the Portuguese team.
Heartwarming reunions but also many new friendly faces. The third training course of the EXODUS partnership, “Raise your voice – Stand up for human rights!” took place in Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal, between the 11th and 20th of February 2022. And three new Macedonian participants were involved in the EXODUS mixture.
The project went smoothly, we started with basic human rights activities, to dive into the topic of the training course, which was migration. Every national team had a task to represent the current migration situation in their country and pick 3 news articles. The next day, we involved the theater of the oppressed in the mix. Our task was to picture the news articles through a little performance act. It was truly an amazing experience. We also experienced another side of the process of learning through gamification.
The last few days of the project we focused on raising awareness, and spreading the word and complexity of the migration situation in the world. We created a social media campaign, that is currently in action, and will be fully implemented until our next project in Berlin. It’s mainly fact sheets and interviews about the migration process, but my personal favorite is the short challenge video about multiculturalism, that you will can view by clicking on the button below.
As I mentioned before our next stop is Berlin, and I truly can’t wait for the reunion.
