Teknokent and Trend Educational Resources with CET platforma Skopje as its Macedonian partner will undertake Education 4.0 for Youth, a 2 year Erasmus+ funded project to identify and upskill the basic technical abilities of youth in schools in Kahramanmaraş. The research will simultaneously be carried out by Education 4.0 for Youth project partners in Greece, Latvia, North Macedonia and Slovenia.
As part of the project, local schools will be surveyed to learn what technical skills are being taught to their students. Employers will also be surveyed to learn what technologies they require from their employees. The resulting data will allow Teknokent IT and Trend Educational Resources experts to design effective online training courses for students. The aim is to provide local industries with job-ready workers upon graduation.
Readers may ask what is Education 4.0? Simply stated, Education 4.0 uses non-traditional teaching methods and technology-based tools and resources to support learning. These teaching methods were developed in order to keep pace with the increased use of internet-based technology and communications as used in industry. The recent COVID-19 pandemic accelerated digital-driven education. It showed that physical classrooms and direct instruction by teachers and textbooks were now optional, and for many, had become a thing of the past.
